Polygons and Quadrilaterals
Today we reviewed the definition of POLYGON and QUADRILATERAL.
A POLYGON is any two dimensional shape formed with straight lines.
A QUADRILATERAL is a two dimensional shape with four straight lines.
We found that all quadrilaterals are polygons, but not all polygons are quadrilaterals.
We then tried to imagine a quadrilateral that was NOT a polygon.
Reid has created a shape- It is not a polygon because it has a curved line, but is it a quadrilateral?
What do YOU think?
