Last day of school is Wednesday, June 28. Report cards will be sent home with students during dismissal on this day.

All year, we have been learning about the wonders children are asking. We use the website Wonderopolis.org. They offer a STEM program on-line throughout the summer that many students have expressed interest in. You can check out the program here

Thanks to Coach Rachel and Coach Sharlee from Netball Alberta. We had a great 3 day experience learning about Netball.
Our Science project is rolling along!! We have had 3 groups complete our first challenge of creating a car that is self-propelled and travels a distance of 2 meters.

Tomorrow is Bike to School Day! Students are encouraged to bike to and from school. Please remember that helmets are mandatory for children under 18. If your child rides tomorrow, please send a bike lock so they can lock their bikes to the bike rack.
Today in Science, we designed our first simple machine. We attempted to create a machine that would allow a textbook to travel across desks with minimal force.

Thorncliffe School Council M&M Meats BBQ Fun Lunch
Order forms and information came home today. If you are able to volunteer to help out this day, please return the form with your child.
We have been working on a design challenge. We chose our groups and are working to redesign our classroom. We need to maximize space and justify why our designs could lead to increased student learning. Our groups will present their designs tomorrow afternoon.
