Students had the opportunity to bring home their science journals for review.  Please make sure your journals are returned to school tomorrow.

Alien In-Line continues tomorrow at recess.  Thanks to those students demonstrating resiliency while learning how to stand on in-line skates and attempting the drills to the best of their abilities.

We began Alien In-Line skating today.  Please remember that socks must be worn in order to skate.  If you choose to wear flip-flops or sandals to school, pack a pair of socks in your backpack.
Please bring your own helmet to school this week.

There will be a unit test on Wednesday, covering our Light and Shadows Science unit.  Here is a review that covers most of the concepts we have learned.

Reminder that Alien In-Line begins on Monday!!

Please send a helmet with your child this week, as well as dry socks.

Alien Inline lessons May 29, 30, 31 June 1 & 2

               -lessons take place in the gym during Physical Education classes for grades 1-6

Students need the following in order to skate:

               -return Acknowledgement of Risk Form

               -bring your own helmet (you can borrow a helmet from Alien Inline – but we do NOT recommend sharing helmets or hats)

               -MUST wear dry socks or you will not be permitted to skate

Alien In-Line Consent Forms sent home today.  Please have the forms returned by Thursday, May 25.  We will be skating May 29- June 2.  Stay tuned for more specific class skate times.

We had a blast today on our field trip to Spaceport YYC.  Thanks to all the parent volunteers who made this trip possible.  Thanks again to Parent Council for supplying the bus and subsidizing a portion of the program costs!

Our field trip to Spaceport YYC is tomorrow.  Please pack a lunch that does not need to be heated.  Our bus leaves promptly after attendance at 9:00 am.  This will be an all day trip.  We will return to the school about 2:30pm.

A reminder that the Casino form is due back by May 19th. We are still in need of at least 20 volunteers on the evening shifts. This is THE major fundraiser for our school and happens once every 18 months and brings in nearly $70 thousand dollars for our school. We need your help!!! Volunteer Clearance is not required anyone can volunteer!! Parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends as long as they are over 18. Please help our school!!
